This section meant to be a very informal introduction about me as a person, focusing on my personality and my general attitude, leaving the professional side to the rest of the website.
We spend most of our lives at work, having meetings, taking important decisions, arranging and discussing plans and actions. But we are much more than that. Work cannot define us as human beings and our lives need a some space away from the hectic world of airports, never-silent mobile phones, and restless money making.
Back in 1987, when the main trend affecting my generation was listening to Madonna, Duran Duran, or other pop singers, I happened to go to Venice to a concert form The Pink Floyd. That concert affected my taste for music and moulded my ears, triggering my passion to collect their vinyls.
From a "sporty" point of view, I had the luck of taking part to a few big marathons (Florence, Milan and Venice) as a runner. I have spent. few years as a soccer referee in the Italian "Lega Pro" (which is what our elder relatives used to call "serie C") and in year 2006 I even have received a national award for that. Formula1 has always been a passion too and I have been collecting autographs from the most important pilots (Senna, Prost, Mansell Hill, Schumacher, Lauda, Regazzoni, Alboreto to name a few), nourishing my childhood dreams. At a later age I have discovered the passion for swimming and diving, learning that beauty is all around us and it reminds ourselves how beautiful the world we live in is.
Art is another leading passion in my life. It kicks up the dust from our soul. Literature, photography and painting create an always open window on our world.
I am an enthusiast and passionate person and I strongly believe these key aspects are well reflected in my approach to work as well. Of course Giuseppe Palermo is much more than this, but I will not bore you further and I will leave you the chance to understand me better if we will have the chance to work together.
